      FAQs about CabinZero Backpacks

You will need to take several factors of your trip into consideration when you’re thinking of which CabinZero backpack to get, such as the length of the trip (which will assist you in deciding the right volume), or if there is much walking or hiking (which will determine whether you need additional back & shoulder support features). Another important aspect to bear in mind is the cabin bag requirements of the airlines you’re going to fly with, if you’re not planning on paying extra charges for a carry-on bag.

First of all, let’s talk about the volume. If you’re going on a weekend getaway trip for 2-3 days, a Classic/Military 28L or Classic Plus/Classic Pro 32L backpack will be an excellent choice to pack everything you need. If you’re taking a longer holiday or going on long-term travels, consider getting a Classic/Military 36L or 44L to accommodate a larger amount of belongings.

The second question is, when do you need the additional advanced features such as hip belts, the padded back support or sternum straps?—If your trip requires a lot of walking whilst carrying the backpack around, consider getting a backpack with a back support system to protect your back, and a hip belt to distribute the loads to your hips instead of your shoulders (which is a huge life-saving tip!). These features are available on the Classic Plus, Classic Pro, Military, ADV and ADV Pro collections.

Last but not least, think about the airlines you’re flying with. Why are they so important? If you’re a frequent passenger on low-cost airlines like Ryanair or Wizz Air, you probably know already that they do check if your bag fits into their airport sizer and size requirements. If it doesn’t, an additional fee will need to be paid out of your pocket. To avoid this extra unnecessary money, carefully check the airline’s cabin bag requirements and follow their guidelines. We’ve compiled a list of common airlines here, including the low-cost ones, and a guide to shop for the right CabinZero backpack according to the size policy.

Each of your CabinZero backpacks comes with a care label inside the main compartment. You should be able to find everything you need there on how to take care of your bag, how to wash and dry it properly, and things to avoid.

We’ve tailored a guide on how to clean your CabinZero backpacks in this article where you can find a full explanation on what each icon means on the care label.

To adjust the hip belt to fit your physique, try the following steps:

      - Step 1: Put your backpack on. Move the belt until the padding fits the top of your hip bones. If it’s too high or too low, try adjusting the shoulder straps to raise or lower the belt until it sits on the top of your hips.

      - Step 2: Adjust the hip belt buckles. Be careful not to over tighten it, as you don’t want it to be uncomfortably pinching your hips.

      - Step 3: Check the padding again to make sure it sits on the top of your hips, if it doesn’t, try readjusting the shoulder straps and the hip belt.

Yes you do need a rain cover for your CabinZero backpack in case you travel to tropical places during the rainy season. Our rain cover is designed to fit backpacks of all sizes up to 44L

Yes. Our 28L and 36L backpacks fit most airline’s size requirements for the free cabin bag allowance. For low-cost airlines like Ryanair or Wizz Air, the CabinZero 28L backpacks would be your best bet as they are designed following these airlines’ carry-on requirements and fit right in the airport sizer.
