Does the sexiest city in the US sounds like a good idea for your next romantic weekend break? Miami is meant for both low-key holidayers, party-goers, and of course spring breakers.

The city has plenty of sexy cocktail bars and a big nightlife for those seeking a whole night of dancing and drinking with their partner. But if you are looking for a different type of romance, don't forget the city's white sand beaches where you can sunbathing for hours (you'll love the South Beach).

Speaking of water activities, there are also chances for couples to snorkel the Florida Reef and kayak through ancient mangroves in Oleta River State Park. There’s also lot of big celebrations for the LGBTIQ+ community to have a good time rolling.

Where to stay

We fall in love with the airy suites, terraces, and nice pool deck of The Gale South Beach. Or, splash out for a cabana at Loews Miami Beach for surreptitious canoodling. You don't have to run to the pool for your cocktails (it's already included in the service).

The Setai Miami Beach is a high-end choice, and there are a lot of opportunities for celeb sightings there. Jay-Z, Madonna, and Beyoncé are all fans of the hotel.

2. Santa Barbara, California

Whether your love language is food, relaxation or adventure, you'll find it in Santa Barbara. This California city draws holidayers with its broad beaches, whether it's for catching the perfect sunsets or riding the best waves.

If you have enough beach time, go on a tour around the Architecture Foundation of Santa Barbara or gaze at the artworks in the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. To enjoy the ocean vibes, hike a bike at the Stern Wharf before checking in the oceanfront restaurants and shellfish markets nearby.

Don't miss the city’s flourishing wine culture, either. Stop and get a taste at one of the tasting rooms on the Urban Wine Trail or craft brews in Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company.

Where to stay

For a romantic visit without breaking the bank, check in the B&B Cheshire Cat Inn, which is pretty close to thoroughfare State Street.

Come in spring, you can let off some steam with mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing. When autumn rolls around, there are great leaf-peeping chances along Smugglers' Notch State Park. But, the biggest star here should be powdery skiable terrains, where skiers of all levels can scratch their skiing itch. And did you know that Stowe is also Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory? This means you can have some sweets as a cherry on top of your weekend getaway.

Where to stay

The charming Lark Hotels' Field Guide and The Lodge at Spruce Peak are all located near the slopes. This means you can roll out of bed and carve the first ski track in Vermont in the morning.

New York City is for couples who love to mingle in the crowds. The city offers plenty of people-watching ops, along with things to see and do even if it's your tenth visit.

The classic way to explore the city is to take a carriage ride in Central Park, catch a Broadway show, and walk the Brooklyn Heights Promenade before you grab a seat at fine restaurants like The Modern or Le Bernardin for a really special date.

If you want to try something even cooler, book a jet ski tour around Manhattan, where you can enjoy unique vantage points of the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and more, with your partner.

Where to stay

If you don't want to blow your budget on a posh hotel, the sexy Freehand New York is the place. The Mercer is cool, luxurious, and of course, pricey, but staying at the hotel means you're close to everything.

Hostess City Hot Glass is our recommendation for glass-blowing classes if you both want to try something new.

Others also love to spend some beach time on Tybee Island, about 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. In a coastal city like Savannah, don't sleep on wildly good seafood at Shabazz Seafood or Alligator Soul.

Where to stay

Perry Lane Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel is where you can enjoy some of the best scenic views in town with a finely curated cocktail in hand. River Street Inn is among the oldest hotels in Savanna and just steps away from the must-visit attractions.

Imagine holding hands while strolling down the French Quarter, cheers-ing Sazerac cocktails, and sharing beignets and smooches with your partners. Once you’ve been fuelled, there are also picturesque mansions and tree-lined streets of the Garden District for sightseeing. The mouth-watering Creole dinner at Brennan’s in the French Quarter is also a nice way to cap off your weekend getaway. Laissez le bon temps rouler!

Have a perfect date at Grub Steak Restaurant (a Park City institution) for the juicy steak and whiskey. There are bars, underground music, and a whiskey saloon for you to rest your leg after a long day of carving up the powdered slopes. Or return to your lodge and cosy up by the fireplace; it's up to you.

It is also a fantastic time for taking home some Christmas gifts from the local craft fairs.

Things are no less exciting if you come in the summer. You can fill your itinerary with visits to Arundel Beach, Goat Island Lighthouse or bowling at Garden Street Bowl. To get the truest taste of rock and roll, visit the National Civil Rights Museum, the Memphis Rock ’N’ Soul Museum, and the Memphis Blues Hall of Fame. Big fans of Elvis Presley can't even further explore the artist's famous house and stop by his collection of classic cars just across the street.

At Memphis, the music is great, but the BBQ is even greater. Have a nice dinner at Central BBQ before ending your romantic nights with Elvis-themed cocktails at a bar you will find on the east side.

Where to stay?

Hampton Inn & Suites at Beale Street is the right choice for those on-budget weekend getaways for couples. If you can splash a little more, The Guest House at Graceland or the more luxurious Big Cypress Lodge can offer you more on-site amenities to rest and unwind.

Climb up the mountain to snuggle and watch the sunrise from Cadillac Mountain (the highest peak of the park). In the afternoon, you can go birdwatching to spot some playful river otters and whitetail deer. If you want more adventure, we recommend kayaking for an overnight in the Cranberry Isles before pitching a tent at Crow Island. On some evenings, at low tide, you can even walk across the water, on the sandbar connected to Bar Island.

Where to stay

B&Bs in Main are pretty affordable and popular. The most romantic of them is perhaps The Primrose. Consider Under Canvas Acadia if you two are avid glampers or The Bayview Hotel if you want easy access to attractions and impeccable ocean views.

Whether you choose to hike, horseback ride, or take a dip at some of the best lakes in the park (in fact, there are up to 700 of them), you’ll have quality one-on-one time there.

If hiking together is your love language, the park's several trails, including hikes to Avalanche Lake and the Highline Trail, will help spark the flames. You can even see all the spectacular views without lacing your shoes. Grab your coffee and take a drive along Going-to-the-Sun Road to witness the mountain peaks at dawn. Along your trail, remember to keep an eye on grizzly bears and moose in their natural habitat.

Where to stay

Apgar Village Lodge & Cabins is right inside the park for all the convenience you can get. River Haus is also close to the Park, with phenomenal views of the Middle Fork of the Flathead River.

According to Native American legend, the 11 glacial lakes in central New York are the handprint of the Great Spirit, left as a blessing on the area. That’s why you can see Native American names like Keuka, Cayuga, Seneca and Skaneateles are chosen for freshwater lakes in the park.

In summer, adventure-seekers head to these glacier lakes for many watersports, from boating, fishing, kayaking or swimming along the lakefront. The cascading waterfalls and dramatic rocky gorges also make for a great setting for a perfect hike.

If you look for relaxation, you can also hop on a wine-tasting tour along the famous wine trails of the town. We guarantee it's no less exciting than the famous Napa Valley. There are also the Strong International Museum of Play or the George Eastman Museum to explore alongside your partner.

Where to stay

We love the pancakes at Idlwilde Inn that keep us going all day for all the activities we plant in the nearby Seneca Lake and Watkins Glen State Park.
